We will organise you into a team and provide everything you need, just come along and play!

You will be guided by our friendly coaches in our welcoming club environment.

PREPARATION
How do I get there?
​
The AIS is located on Leverrier Street, Bruce, Australian Capital Territory.
The campus is approximately seven minutes from the centre of Canberra.
You may choose to rideshare, or drive your own vehicle.

Can I park my car?
​
Yes, there will be car parking please take note of parking restrictions and respect the local facility users.
​
What do I wear?
​
Activewear please, no uniforms are needed, just whatever you feel comfortable in for playing basketball.
​
What equipment will I need?
​
None! We will have plenty of equipment available for you to use, for free.
​
What else do I need?
​
Please bring a drink bottle, and some warm clothing as part of the tournament will be outdoors.
​
The cafe will be open but you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks if you wish.
​

ACCESSIBILITY
AIS areas are easily accessible, either by lifts, escalators, or walkway ramps.
Accessible parking facilities are available close to the AIS main entrances and has modern well equipped and accessible toilet and shower facilities as well as family change rooms available.
​
Assistance Animals are always welcome at the AIS when accompanied by their handler.

PARTICIPATE
What do we do on the day?
​
Please arrive just before 845 am - the tournament play will start at 9 am SHARP!
We will meet you when you arrive, and you will be assigned to a basketball team for the morning.
​
We will start the basketball tournament at 9 am where our friendly experienced coaches will guide you.
​
Our coaches will cater for all levels of experience and ability!
​
You will play in 2 or 3 short matches, culminating in a final for 2 teams.
​
We will complete the on-court activities at around 1015am before we move into the tournament workshop from 1030-12noon.
​
Please note that there will be a short break during which you can change before the workshop session if you wish.
